Cox Automotive has announced a significant rebuild of its Movex app, making it simpler and faster for vehicle dealerships across the UK to make and monitor vehicle movements on the go.
Launched on 22nd March, the new and improved Movex app has been redesigned from the ground up with convenience and control in mind. It features a simpler design, as part of a completely revamped user interface that makes the app more user intuitive.
Further helping dealers to react to the real-time nature of a digitalised industry, the app now features real-time status notifications and instant proof of collection and delivery. Security has also been enhanced with the addition of fingerprint and facial recognition, enabling users to access their account from anywhere, safely and securely. Giving dealers access to 3,000 transport providers available 24/7, 365 days a year, the Movex app makes it possible to browse quotes and make bookings in under a minute.
To celebrate the launch of the new app, Cox Automotive will be running a fully integrated marketing campaign to customers, including a prize draw to win a free Apple Watch for customers who download the Movex app and use it to make their first booking.
The rebuild is an important element of Cox Automotive’s strategy to help its customers develop a strong digital retail presence, a goal that was recently accelerated by the acquisition of digital automotive retail specialist Codeweavers Ltd. Both moves are part of a company-wide initiative to deliver a first-class customer experience across all of its digital services, ensuring products are future-proof and fit-for-purpose.

Movex was acquired by Manheim in 2015 and has delivered over 500,000 vehicle movements since its inception. Having recently integrated into Cox Automotive Vehicle Solutions division is expected to facilitate in the region of 150,000 further vehicle movements in 2021 and support thousands of dealerships with access to the UK’s largest vehicle movement marketplace.
